For more information (such as fees) or to schedule a visit, contact our Nursery School Director, Beverly Benner,  by phone at 215.593.0489 or via email at benner@newgoshucc.org

We provide a warm learning environment that is safe, healthy, and well-organized.  The classrooms are designed to promote an educational and harmonious environment. The daily lessons allow time for both child-initiated and teacher-directed learning experiences.  Weekly emails are provided to keep the families updated with the happenings at the school. Teachers encourage learning in the areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts.  Emphasis is placed on gaining an understanding of themselves and an appreciation of people belonging to all social, cultural, and ethnic groups.

Kindergarten Boot Camp

This extended program is offered for 1 month in June for those students that will be entering Kindergarten in the fall.

Pre-Kindergarten Program

This program is offered for those students that will be entering kindergarten in one year.  The classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM OR 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM.

We have developed a comprehensive preparatory curriculum that encompasses a variety of learning methods in conjunction with the research-based PA Learning Standards.  Topics covered include letters, numbers, shapes, colors, spatial concepts, patterning, story sequencing, as well as gross and fine motor skill development. Students entering this program should be 4 years old as of September 1.

Pre-School Program

This program serves as a socialization class for students 2 years away from kindergarten. The classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM OR 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM.

The curriculum focuses on learning through play, as well as structured lessons based on a variety of topics, again utilizing the PA Learning Standards for preschool.  School routines are learned, and relied upon, fine motor skills are developed, and the whole body and mind are stimulated. Students entering this program should be 3 years old as of September 1, and potty-trained.

Toddler Time Program

This is a play-based group that meets 1 morning a week, from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  Our youngest students are exposed to songs, stories, and project work based on the topic of the week.  There is a routine established and lots of play-based learning. We offer a full year program from September through May.  These students should be 2 years of age upon entering the class.
